goth guide
So, you're a Goth and you're visiting Camden. What is there in the darkside of this eclectic little town for you to do?

Well, you can happily shop to your heart's content around the markets and High Street. Be your passion for vintage clothing, cyber wear or the more traditional look you'll most definitely find what you're looking for here! Don't forget to pay a visit to the charity shops near Mornington Crescent Station for that all-important bargain and if it's Victoriana stuff you're after there are several vintage clothing shops that may have the odd item of interest.

Fancy getting your hair done? Make your choice from a range of hairdressers for the ultimate "do", 'enry 'iggins' for example. Or perhaps you fancy getting a piercing or a tattoo? Well, Camden is the place to go with plentiful piercing parlours, many of which carry health and safety certificates. Jewellery is also plentiful and you'll find lots of unique pieces as many are handcrafted, especially in the craft section of the Lock Market.

Music your passion? Then Camden is home to a number of excellent record shops which stock music by Goth bands, including Resurrection Records in the High Street, which also runs its own record label, covering bands such asScary Bitches and Ghost of Lemora. You'll also find second-hand outlets in the market and various comic and merchandise stalls.

At a loss as to what to do when the shops are closed? Then don't be! Camden is home to several Goth-friendly hot-spots, including Gothic tavern, the Devonshire Arms in Kentish Town Road and Friday night's Sin City at the Electric Ballroom next door to the station.
