Recently the Stables Market has been much extended with a wealth of new traders in the area of the old Catacombs and Arches at the north end. The whole area has been adorned with massive bronze sculptures evoking memories of the past use of the area both to stable horses that pulled the barges along the nearby canal, and as a location for warehousing and light industrial activities associated with canal transport. 	The nearest Underground station is Chalk Farm on the Northern Line or if you walk up from Camden Town the Stables market is the last market on the left, after the railway bridge.
